Questions, answered.

What is the Reformer Orientation class?

The Reformer Orientation is a pre-beginner session designed specifically to get you reformer-ready. Think of it as a hybrid between learning how the machine works and a standard beginner class. You’ll learn fundamental cues and core movements, discover how to set up the bed correctly for your body, and practise adjusting the pulleys and straps. This introductory class ensures you feel completely safe, capable and confident before jumping into a full Reformer workout.

Who should attend the Reformer Orientation class?

While this session is highly recommended for anyone completely new to Pilates, it isn’t mandatory. If you already feel confident, you’re welcome to jump straight into a Beginners class. The Orientation simply gives you a solid foundation in how the beds work and how to handle your setup, ensuring you get the absolute most out of your upcoming workouts. For your session, please wear comfortable exercise clothing and arrive 5 minutes early so we can make the most of your time.

What's the difference between Reformer Pilates and Mat Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is performed on a spring-based machine called a Reformer, which offers resistance and support for a wide range of movements. It helps improve strength, flexibility, core stability and alignment with more variety and precision than mat-based work. The Reformer is especially great for building tone and refining posture.

I'm new to Pilates. Can I join a group Reformer class?

Absolutely, we welcome all levels. If you’re brand new to Pilates or haven’t used a Reformer before, we recommend starting with a beginner’s equivalent class or a private session to help you get comfortable with the equipment and understand the basics.

What's the difference between Classical and Contemporary Pilates?

Classical Pilates follows the original sequencing and principles developed by Joseph Pilates, structured, rhythmical and deeply focused on alignment and core control. Contemporary Pilates blends those foundations with modern movement science, offering more creative flow, dynamic strength-building and adaptable variations. Our instructors are trained in both and can guide you through either, or a combination that suits your goals.

What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates can help strengthen your core, tone muscles, improve posture, increase flexibility, enhance balance and support mobility. It’s also commonly used to aid injury recovery and promote long-term movement health through controlled, low-impact exercises.

How often should I do Reformer Pilates to see results?

Many people begin to notice improvements in strength, posture, flexibility and body awareness after attending Reformer Pilates classes consistently two to three times per week. Regular practice can help deliver long-term fitness and wellbeing benefits.

How many people are in your group Reformer classes?

As a 10-reformer-bed studio, our setup ensures you get plenty of individual attention and hands-on coaching, without losing the shared energy of a group class.

What should I wear to class or my session?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothes you can move in, ideally something that allows your instructor to see your alignment (like leggings and a fitted top). Grip socks are required for hygiene and safety, especially on the Reformer and Chair.

Can I get changed at the studio, and do I need to bring anything with me?

We don’t have a dedicated changing room, so it’s best to arrive ready to move. Please bring along a bottle of water to keep hydrated.

How do I book a session?

You can book classes directly through our online booking system, or reach out to us via email if you have any questions.

Can I just turn up without a booking?

All sessions must be booked in advance, as the studio is only accessible when a class or private session is in progress. We recommend securing your spot ahead of time to make sure we’re ready to welcome you. Booking is quick and easy through our website.

I have an injury or medical condition; can I still practise Pilates?

In most cases, yes. Pilates is a low-impact, highly adaptable method that supports rehabilitation, postural correction and functional movement. We strongly recommend starting with a Private 1:1 session.

I'm pregnant or just had a baby, can I join a group class?

Yes, you absolutely can. We have instructors who are fully trained in pre- and postnatal Pilates modifications. Because every pregnancy and postpartum journey is unique, please just drop us an email before you book and we’ll let you know which specific instructors’ classes will be the absolute best and safest for you to attend.

How early should I arrive before my session?

Arriving 5-10 minutes early is perfect. It gives you time to settle in and get ready to move.

Is parking available nearby?

Charged parking bays are available in surrounding streets, however the studio is an easy walk from Bermondsey and London Bridge stations.

Is the studio accessible?

We want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome. The studio is on the ground floor and has step-free access and accessible facilities.

What's your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to offer your spot to someone else and respect our instructors’ time, it also means you don’t forfeit the credit for that session, and it can be moved.

What happens if I cancel with less than 24 hours' notice?

We kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations. Unfortunately, sessions cancelled after this time will need to be charged in full.
